Rules & Policies – Continent Villas
To ensure a pleasant stay and to avoid misunderstandings, please read the accommodation’s policies carefully. By confirming your reservation and accepting the accommodation policies, it is understood that you have also read and accepted the rules and policies of Continent Villas.
Check-in & Check-out
Your stay at the villa begins at 15:00 on the check-in date and ends at 11:00 on the check-out date. You may arrive after 15:00 on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, you are expected to vacate the villa by 11:00, unless otherwise agreed. Late check-out is possible depending on availability and may incur additional charges.
Please note: You are expected to be available 30 minutes before departure (at 11:30) for a villa inspection regarding any damages or losses (see relevant paragraph).
Upon arrival, please present your ID/passport to the property. If needed for record purposes, the property has the right to take a photo or photocopy of your documents and return them to you.
Staff are not allowed to enter the villa or use guests’ personal items without prior notification and confirmation from the guest. However, staff may enter the villa in the guest’s absence for reasons such as cleaning, repairs, safety concerns, or rule violations.
Continent Villas are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before your arrival. The price includes cleaning services, which cover the kitchen and bathroom. Towels and linens are changed once every 7 days. Additional cleaning, towels, and linens are available upon request at extra cost. Please note that cleaning services do not include personal services such as cooking, laundry, babysitting, etc.
Please lock the villa when leaving. The property is not responsible for guests’ belongings, though it will take all reasonable measures to protect and warn guests of potential risks.
In case of bad weather (strong wind, rain, etc.), please close umbrellas and secure shutters in outdoor areas.
Guests are not allowed to sublet the villa or any part of it to people beyond the maximum agreed number of guests.
Pets are allowed / not allowed according to the policies listed on the property’s website. If allowed, it must be with written permission from the owner. Bringing pets without prior notice is not permitted and the property has the right to cancel the booking.
Parties and loud music are not allowed without prior notice and written permission from the property. If you wish to host an event or party during your stay, please inform the owner in advance.
Use of the BBQ is at your own responsibility.
Candles are not allowed indoors due to potential damage, nor outdoors due to the dry and flammable environment in summer.
Smoking is not allowed inside the villa. Violations incur a €500 fine, and the property reserves the right to terminate the guest’s stay immediately without notice or refund.
Noise Levels
According to Greek Law, guests must keep noise to a minimum:
- From 15:00 – 17:30 and 23:00 – 7:00 (April 1 – September 30)
- From 15:30 – 17:30 and 22:00 – 7:30 (October 1 – March 31)
Inappropriate Behavior / Alcohol / Drugs
Moderate and controlled alcohol use is acceptable. However, possession or use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited. The management reserves the right to terminate a guest’s stay immediately and without refund in cases of:
- Violence (verbal or physical)
- Disturbing neighbors
- Property damage
- Inappropriate or illegal drug use
Liability
The property and owners are not responsible for accidents, injuries, or illnesses that may occur on the premises. By accepting these rules, guests acknowledge responsibility for any risks or injuries that may occur from using the facilities.
Environmental Consciousness
As we are environmentally conscious, please take care of the accommodation and surrounding areas. Turn off electrical devices and taps when not in use. Do not leave air conditioning on unnecessarily (e.g., when you are out), and avoid using it with open windows or doors. Close all windows and doors when leaving, and turn off taps, power, and gas supply.
Furniture, Equipment & Household Items
All villas are carefully furnished. Please handle furniture and equipment with care. Loss of keys will incur a €50 charge for lock replacement.
Guests who cause damage (intentional or accidental) must fully compensate for the damage. Upon arrival, the guest is encouraged to inspect the property and report any damages or issues. Upon departure, the guest must call the owner for a joint inspection of all rooms and appliances. Only after this check may the guest leave. Undeclared damages may lead to legal action.
Guest Numbers
The number of guests allowed is as agreed in the booking. If more guests are present upon arrival or during the stay without prior notice, the property may cancel the reservation or apply extra charges.
People not staying in the villa are not allowed to sleep over, stay all day, or use the facilities without the owner’s explicit consent. If unauthorized individuals are found, the owner may cancel the reservation or charge extra.
If you will be absent from the villa for more than 2 days, please inform the property.
On arrival day, check-in is allowed after the designated time (as stated in your reservation confirmation). On departure day, guests must leave by the agreed time so the villa can be prepared for the next arrival. Early or late arrival/departure is possible depending on availability and with the owner’s consent. Extra charges may apply.
If you decide to leave earlier than agreed, payment is still required as per the reservation policies or Greek Law.
Any outstanding balance must be paid before check-in, unless otherwise stated in the booking policies.
Vehicles
Use of motorcycles or ATVs is not permitted within the villa complex, gardens, or pool area. Guest vehicles may only be parked in designated parking areas or on the street.
Pool Area*
The pool may only be used during the designated hours (set by the property owner). Diving is strictly prohibited. Property owners are not responsible for any injuries due to diving. Children are welcome in the pool but must always be supervised by a guardian. Glass or ceramic items are not allowed by the pool. Guests are fully responsible for pool use at all times. Please report any emergency or broken equipment immediately.
Policy Violations
Any guest who violates the villa policies or disturbs peace and order may be evicted without notice. If the property cancels the reservation due to policy violations, the guest is liable for the full booking amount, regardless of early departure.
Complaints made after departure will not be considered.
Insects & Nature
All villas are located in nature. The presence of insects inside and around the villa is expected, despite systematic pest control carried out by Continent Villas.
These policies follow standard hospitality and tourism industry practices.
